We are seeking an Accounting Manager who will oversee the financial health of our growing Daisy Sarasota branch and will consistently work to maximize the value of the business. On a day-to-day basis, the Accounting Manager will manage the business’ books and finances, Payroll, Bookkeeping, Accounting responsibilities. This person should have experience in construction accounting, financial reporting and developing plans for the long-term financial goals of our business. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and team player who will consistently perform all accounting and finance related tasks in a timely manner, work with Daisy HQ finance partners, and advise senior managers on increasing efficiencies, supporting expansion plans and building profit-maximizing strategies.
 

Responsibilities

  • Receive and allocate inventory
  • Record vendor invoices and schedule payment
  • Create customer invoices and collect payment
  • Reconcile credit card accounts
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Reconcile AP and AR
  • Process payroll
  •  Process expense report
  • Prepare income statements
  • Manage the month end and year end close process 
 
Requirements
 
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, in finance, accounting or related field 
  • Previous experience with construction accounting 
  • At least three years’ experience in AP, AR, inventory management, invoicing, account reconciliation, income statement and balance sheet generation, and other bookkeeping functions
  • Managed and improved month end and year end closing processes
  • Proven experience with NetSuite, Quickbooks Desktop, iPoint, and JustWorks is preferable
  • Successfully supported system integrations and ERP implementations 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and specifically small business accounting 
  • Problem-solving skills and a creative, investigative nature to probe data for key insights 
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships 
  • Clear communication and reporting skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives at once while adhering to deadlines 
  • Eagerness and ability to learn new programs and systems quickly 
  • Experience collaborating with HR and/or managing payroll administration a plus

Schedule/Expected Work Hours: 

  • Monday - Friday; 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Overtime may be required from time to time to support business needs

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
