Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years' experience installing whole home audio, video, networking, surveillance systems and home theaters. The Install Technician is responsible for installing and servicing products at the customer's job site while meeting industry standards. The Install Technician demonstrates mastery of basic wiring/cabling for low voltage integrated systems.  
 
Duties & Responsibilities:                                                                                                                               
  • Install and service 110V electrical components for residential smart home systems and AV integrations
  • Wire and connect low-voltage and 110V circuits for lighting, motorized shades, outlets, and control devices
  • Support setup and power distribution for AV racks, TVs, speakers, networking gear, and automation equipment
  • Work alongside AV integrators and automation programmers to ensure clean, code-compliant installations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve power-related issues impacting AV, lighting, or automation systems
  • Terminate and test circuits using meters and diagnostic tools to ensure system functionality
  • Follow structured wiring plans and electrical schematics for custom home installations
  • Maintain strong attention to detail in high-end, finished residential environments
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, designers, and homeowners on job requirements and expectations
  • Ensure all installations meet NEC standards and local code compliance
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes to the original scope
 
Qualifications: 
  • Must understand all systems including audio, video, security, lighting and integration of all installed brands. 
  • Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards.  Troubleshooting skills are essential.  
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software.   
  • Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement & system wiring

Additional Requirements: 
  • Local travel to job sites required  
  • On call rotation maybe required 
  • Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours 
  • Able to independently lift items up to 50 pounds  
  • Capable of sitting, standing, and kneeling for extended periods of time  
  • Must adhere to state and federal laws as well as abide by traffic laws while using company vehicle and/or on company business  
  • Available to work 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday; with flexibility for on call rotations which may include occasional evenings and weekends
